Growing our connectivity with the world

Serving over 100 international airlines, Changi Airport connects 400 cities in about 100 countries worldwide to Singapore. This allows about 62.2 million passengers to pass through our doors each year. With these journeys, ties are rekindled, opportunities realised and aspirations fulfilled.

Air Hub Development is the team responsible for increasing Changi Airport’s connectivity and enhancing its attractiveness as a vibrant air hub. Our roles include cultivating partnerships with international passengers and cargo airlines to promote traffic, marketing the Changi Airport brand, developing new routes with the travel industry, developing industry market research capabilities, managing developmental and operations planning projects, and formulating strategies to enhance our long-term competitiveness.

Our division's key mission is to grow traffic through Changi Airport. We complement the efforts of our Airline Development folks—they bring in the supply (seat capacity) while we work on generating the demand (passenger traffic). And we achieve this through many ways, including working closely with like-minded airlines, travel partners and national tourism organisations to roll out joint campaigns to promote travel through Singapore and Changi.

We also engage overseas partners to increase Changi's awareness and mindshare as the excellent air hub of choice, as well as secure partnerships to grow and seed traffic from new markets and cities. All in all, it's about collaborations with partners to achieve common objectives!

Our team looks after the development of Changi Airport’s Air Cargo Hub and its expansion in Changi East. We collaborate closely with key stakeholders from government agencies, airlines and industry partners to drive initiatives that enhance Changi’s overall competitiveness as a global air cargo hub. The job comes with its set of challenges and complexity, but it is exciting at the same time knowing that we are part of something bigger. It is a privilege for me to be part of the world’s best airport but more importantly, I am proud of the friendships that I have forged here and being a part of the CAG family!

As part of the Passenger Development team, our mission is to grow the number of passengers travelling through Changi Airport. We make this possible by working with like-minded partners, such as airlines, the travel trade and national tourism organisations. Together, we work on strategic and tactical initiatives to promote Changi Airport as the preferred transfer hub, and influence travel through Changi Airport.

My work is dynamic and there is never a dull moment! Through the course of work, I have also gained many valuable friendships spanning different countries and cultures!
