This super-sized saga seed by Kumari Nahappan is cast in bronze and varnished in red. Saga Seed celebrates the approximately 200 saga trees in Singapore. The seeds are collected by children in this region, can be threaded into jewellery and is used in ancient India for weighing gold. Hence, its name is traceable to the Arabic word for “goldsmith”.
