Selemat Hari Raya Aidilfitri

Celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri with Changi Airport and explore the array of horticulture displays around our terminals!

Eid ul-Fitr or Hari Raya Aidilfitri is an important Muslim festival celebrated around the world.   Hari Raya is Malay for 'Day of Celebration’ - This celebration commemorates the end of the Muslim fasting month known as Ramadan

There is no place better than home to celebrate Hari Raya with your family, friends and loved ones.  Balik Kampung, meaning going back to the village in Malay, refers to the annual visits many migrants or migrant workers make when they return home to their Kampungs for the festive holidays.

In this display, Changi Airport has recreated the nostalgic Kampung days where most of adult Malays can travel back in time to reminiscence celebrations of Hari Raya of  their childhood. We also hope that your children  can experience and learn what life was like in the good old days.

The display offers a glimpse of life of the village, especially the foods and the food plants, the attire, musical instruments, handicrafts and games we used to have in the good old Kampung days.
