Mid Autumn Festival Display
Join us as we celebrate Mid Autumn Festival this month with these unique horticultural displays.
Toting lanterns is a popular activity amongst children during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Traditional lanterns that many Singaporeans grew up playing with are made of colorful paper or cellophane paper. It is also common to find lanterns in various shapes and forms such as animals, plants, cars and even cartoon characters. Children would light them up with a candle and go for walks in the evenings. Parks and playgrounds would magically light up with lanterns of all shapes, colors and sizes.
Here at Changi Airport, we have created unique landscapes with a multitude of colourful lanterns to celebrate this festive occasion. Come take a closer look and try identifying all the lanterns that are on display!
