Terms & Conditions for "Be a CHANGI MILLIONAIRE!" Promotion
(1 June – 30 November 2010)
Location: Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 and Budget Terminal
1. ELIGIBILITY
1.1 This Shopping Promotion is open to persons aged 18 and above as at 1 June 2010, subject to clauses 1.2 and 1.3.
1.2 Changi Airport Group (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. ("CAG") reserves the absolute discretion to determine the eligibility of any person who is interested to participate in the Shopping Promotion and Lucky Draw. Such determination is final and conclusive, and CAG is not obliged to give any reason for disqualifying any person from participation in the Shopping Promotion and Lucky Draw.
1.3 The following persons shall not be eligible to participate in the Shopping Promotion and Lucky Draw:
- 1.3.1 Directors, employees and immediate family members of CAG, Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, CAG's appointed agencies, retail partners/shop tenants at Changi Airport and any other persons involved in organising, promoting and/or conducting the Lucky Draw. Immediate family members refer to spouses, children, parents, parents-in-law and siblings;
- 1.3.2 Persons who are or become insane, deceased, insolvent or have legal proceedings of any nature instituted against them;
- 1.3.3 Persons below the age of 18 as of 1 June 2010;
- 1.3.4 Any other person deemed ineligible at the sole discretion of CAG.
2. ALLOCATION OF LUCKY DRAW CHANCES
2.1 Subject to clause 2.5, customers who spend a minimum of SGD60 in a single receipt from 1 June 2010 up to 30 November 2010 are eligible to participate in the Lucky Draw. Lucky Draw chances allocated are as follows:

* Participants can only use their Visa or Changi Rewards cards to enjoy the extra chances in a single receipt
2.2 In meeting the various relevant minimum spending tiers as stated in clause 2.1, participants are NOT allowed to use vouchers (with the exception of the Changi Dollar Vouchers) and/or other in-store vouchers, promotional discounts etc.
2.3 All purchases made at retail, F&B and service outlets, in both Transit or Public areas, (including Arrival Baggage Claim outlets) that meet the qualifying tiers are eligible for the lucky draw. Both Transit and Public areas have the same qualifying tiers. Only transactions made at money changing facilities, medical clinics, top-up card machines, post-on wheels, airline lounges and Crowne Plaza Hotel are excluded.
2.4 The number of Lucky Draw chances is represented by Lucky Draw coupons of different colours (eg yellow coupons represent 1 chance, green coupons represent 3 chances etc). Customers need only fill up 1 Lucky Draw coupon with the relevant original receipt attached, and the number of Lucky Draw chances will be allocated automatically.
2.5 To redeem the extra Lucky Draw chances described in paragraph 2.1 above, cardholders are only allowed to utilize either their Visa or Changi Rewards card, but not both, as long as the minimum qualifying spend per single receipt is obtained during the Qualifying Period and there is proof of usage of the relevant card, and the attachment of relevant original receipt.
2.6 Each Lucky Draw chance entitles the relevant customer to:
- (i) one (1) chance in the daily Lucky Draw described in clause 4.1 conducted in respect of the day on which the corresponding qualifying expenditure was made; and
- (ii) one (1) chance in the monthly Lucky Draw described in clause 5.1 conducted in respect of the month in which the corresponding qualifying expenditure was made, provided that the Lucky Draw chance was not drawn in the relevant daily Lucky Draw.
2.7 CAG reserves the right to disqualify any Lucky Draw coupons which do not meet the criteria set out herein. The total number of Lucky Draw chances allocated to an eligible participant shall be determined by CAG whose decision shall be final and conclusive.
3. PRIZES
3.1 The following prizes will be awarded for the respective Lucky Draws:
- 3.1.1 180 Daily Winners: One cash prize of SGD1,000 per day throughout promotion (total of 183 promotional days)
- 3.1.2 6 Monthly Finalists:
- 3.1.2.1 Each monthly draw finalist to receive one return economy class air ticket to Singapore from his/ her country of residence (as indicated on the entry form and not applicable if the winner is residing in Singapore)
- 3.1.2.2 Each monthly draw finalist to receive a two-night hotel accommodation in Singapore
- 3.1.2.3 Cash allowance of SGD5,000 (for 5 finalists, excluding the winner of Grand Prize) Finalists shall bear all incidentals charges, applicable taxes and out-of-pocket expenses including insurance, visas etc. All finalists must travel to Singapore on the specified dates provided by CAG in order to be present during the Grand Draw.
- 3.1.3 1 Grand Prize Winner: One cash prize of SGD1,000,000
3.2 The prizes are neither transferable nor exchangeable for cash, credits or otherwise. CAG shall not be responsible for any other consequences including but not limited to loss of life, injury to person and/or damage to property arising from or in connection with the Lucky Draw and/or redemption or use of the prizes.
3.3 CAG may, at any time and without notice in its sole and absolute discretion, substitute any prize with any other item of a similar value.
3.4 All unclaimed prizes beyond the notification date permitted by CAG will be forfeited. Any winner whose prize has been forfeited shall not be entitled to any payment or compensation notwithstanding non-receipt of notification.
4. DAILY WINNERS
4.1 CAG will conduct Draws to pick one winner per day throughout the entire promotion period. There will be a total of 180 winners only.
4.2 All Draws will be conducted at CAG's office in Terminal 2, Level 3 #036-053. CAG reserves the right to change the location of the Lucky Draws if deemed necessary.
4.3 The Draws will be conducted at 1000hours on every Wednesday, starting from 9 June 2010, for the Lucky Draw entries from the preceding week. CAG reserves the right to change the time and date of the Lucky Draw if deemed necessary.
4.4 CAG reserves the right to substitute with reserve winners any winner subsequently found to be disqualified. CAG's determination of the winners shall be final, conclusive and binding. No correspondence will be entertained.
4.5 All winners will be notified in writing by email and/or ordinary post provided in the lucky draw forms. They must respond in writing by email or ordinary post within one week from the date of the email/letter. A final reminder will be sent to them should they fail to respond within the specified date. Winners will be given another one week to respond to the reminder, failing which they will automatically be disqualified and replaced with a reserve winner, who will be subject to the same notification procedures stated in this clause.
5. MONTHLY FINALISTS
5.1 CAG will be conducting six monthly draws to shortlist one finalist per month who will be invited to attend the Grand Draw in person in January 2011, or in such other month as may be determined by CAG. The exact date of the Grand Draw will be notified by CAG to the finalists. There will be a total of six finalists.
5.2 All Draws will be conducted at CAG's office in Terminal 2, Level 3 #036-053. CAG reserves the right to change the location of the Lucky Draws.
5.3 The Draws will be conducted at 1030hours on the 2nd Wednesday of the following month. CAG reserves the right to change the time and date of the Lucky Draws.
5.4 All finalists will be notified in writing by email and/or ordinary post provided in the Lucky Draw forms. They must respond in writing by email or ordinary post within one week from the date of the email/letter. A reminder will be sent to them should they fail to respond within the specified date. Winners will be given another one week to respond to the reminder, failing which they will automatically be disqualified and replaced with a reserve winner, who will be subject to the same notification procedures stated in this clause.
5.5 CAG's determination of the winners shall be final, conclusive and binding. No correspondence will be entertained.
6. GRAND DRAW
6.1 CAG will organise a Grand Draw ceremony to pick one winner from the six finalists to receive the Grand Prize of SGD1,000,000. This ceremony will be a live event and may be broadcast on television or cable channels or streamed 'live' on the Internet.
6.2 The Grand Draw will take place in January 2011, or at such other time as may be determined by CAG. The exact date and time of the Grand Draw will be made known to all finalists no later than 2 weeks from the Grand Draw date.
6.3 CAG, in its sole discretion, will determine the method of drawing the Grand Prize winner during the Grand Draw ceremony.
6.4 It is a condition precedent for participation in the Lucky Draw that all finalists will permit the public disclosure of their names, cities/countries of residence and photographs for publicity or commercial purposes, participate in any advertising, promotion and publicity activities stipulated by CAG in relation to the Lucky Draw, and permit the use of any data provided by the finalists for any future promotion/ marketing efforts by the CAG. Accordingly, unless otherwise agreed to by CAG, finalists shall not during the Grand Draw or any publicity or promotion activities in connection therewith, wear, put on, or do any other thing which may, in the reasonable opinion of CAG, lead to a concealment of the finalist's facial appearance and identity.
6.5 Finalists who are unable to attend in person for the Grand Draw for any reason (after confirmation of attendance) will forfeit their chance at the Grand Draw. In this regard, CAG does not accept replacement nominated by the finalist in attending the Grand Draw. In addition, they will not receive the above stated finalist prizes, and will not receive any payment, reimbursement or compensation for any payment that have been made in relation to the trip. CAG reserves the right to substitute with reserve winners any winner subsequently found to be disqualified. CAG's determination of the winners shall be final, conclusive and binding. No correspondence will be entertained.
6.6 With respect to clause 6.5, CAG reserves the right to exercise its sole discretion for any of the finalists who are unable to attend due to travel advisory restrictions. In such cases, CAG will view this matter on a case-to-case basis and allow a next-of-kin to attend the Grand Draw on their behalf.
7. PAYMENT OF PRIZE MONEY
7.1 All winners are required to furnish his/her bank account details (in his/her name) in writing for the money to be remitted into. CAG bears no responsibility to inaccurate information provided by the winners that may impede the transfer of the prize money.
7.2 The value of the prize money is in Singapore currency and will be paid though Telegraphic Transfer (TT). The final amount received is subject to the different currency fluctuations.
7.3 All winners must agree to bear the necessary bank processing fee and other agent bank charges imposed for the TT of the prize money.
7.4 The money may be subject to tax within home country of the winner. Should such taxes be imposed, the amount to be received will be nett of all taxes.
7.5 CAG reserves the right to disqualify any winner who is found at any time (whether before or after receipt of any prize) to be in breach of any of the eligibility requirements in clause 1, and to forfeit any prize that may have been awarded to such person.
8. GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
8.1 By participating in this Shopping Promotion, entrants will be deemed to have read and understood these rules and to be bound by them, any other requirements set out in any related promotional material and all amendments, additions, replacements and modifications as may be made from time to time.
8.2 By accepting these terms and conditions, entrants also confirm that they are not breaching any laws in their country of residence regarding the legality of entering our Lucky Draws. CAG will not be held responsible for any entrant entering our Lucky Draws unlawfully.
8.3 CAG's decision on all matters relating to the Shopping Promotion is final, conclusive and binding on all customers and winners, and no correspondence will be entertained.
8.4 CAG reserves the right to request for photographs for use in marketing for the Shopping Promotion. Should such request be made, the finalists/winner should provide a suitable photograph within the requested period.
8.5 CAG and its authorised agencies shall not be liable for any injury, damage or loss arising out of or in connection with this Promotion, and each participant agrees to indemnify and hold CAG harmless from and against any and all claim, loss or damage incurred by the participant or by any other party in relation to the Promotion.
8.6 CAG reserves the right to vary the terms and conditions herein at any time at its absolute discretion without notice.
8.7 In the event of any inconsistency between the Terms and Conditions with any other form of publicity collaterals relating to the promotion, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
8.8 This promotion, and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore and all participants and winners are subjected to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts in the determination of any matter or dispute arising in connection therewith.
8.9 These Terms and Conditions listed are not intended to confer rights by a third party under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any provision of these terms and conditions.
