DISCOVER THE STORY OF THE SAGA

Cast in bronze and varnished in red, the super-sized Saga Seed by Kumari Nahappan celebrates the approximately 200 saga trees in Singapore. Saga seeds, which are traditionally collected by children in Asia, were also used in ancient India as a measure of weighing gold. Hence, the name is traceable to the Arabic word for 'goldsmith'.
