TRAVELLING FROM
SINGAPORE TO ITALY

Information accurate as of 16 December 2021

From 16 December 2021 to 31 January 2022, short-term visitors are not allowed entry into Italy for leisure purposes. Some exemptions may apply.  Please refer to the annoucement by the Italy embassy to Singapore here

Fully vaccinated travellers from Italy may continue to enter Singapore without the need for quarantine under the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) arrangement.

GUIDE TO YOUR FLIGHT

Application Book a designated VTL flight for the return journey from Italy to Singapore.
Pre-departure Preparation
  1. All travellers 6 years of age or older must take a Pre-Departure Covid-19 PCR test or professionally administered Antigen Rapid Test taken within 72 hours prior to flight at a recognised institution and test negative for Covid-19
  2. Complete a Passenger Locator Form via the EUdPLF application
  3. Purchase Covid-19 travel insurance (recommended)
Check-in at Singapore Changi Airport

Present the following documents at check-in: 

  1. Valid travel documents 
  2. Acceptable proof of vaccination (electronic or physical copy) 
  3. Proof of negative pre-departure Covid-19 test result (electronic or physical copy) 

Travellers who do not meet any of the above requirements may be refused boarding by the airline.

Arriving in Italy

Travellers must wear a mask at the airport.

Upon arrival in Italy, clear arrival immigration with valid travel documents and proof of vaccination status.

During your stay in Italy

Travellers with Covid-19 symptoms must report immediately to the local Health Authority, by calling dedicated local numbers. While waiting for further Health Authority advice, travellers must self-isolate.

National regulations:

  1. Mask wearing is only mandatory when using public transport. 
  2. Keep a distance of at least one metre. 
  3. Proof of vaccination is mandatory for travellers above the age of 12 years old, who wish to enter indoor venues, public transport, public establishments, shows and events in Italy.

Regions and Autonomous Provinces may have varying restrictions. It is recommended to check on the requirements before travelling there.

Departing from Italy

Pre-departure Preparations:

  1. Take a Covid-19 PCR test at approved centres within 48 hours before the designated flight to Singapore and to produce a negative test result 
  2. Book and pre-pay the On-Arrival Covid-19 PCR test to be done at Changi Airport
  3. Submit SG Arrival Card within three days before arrival in Singapore

Present the following documents at check-in: 

  1. Physical or electronic copy of the Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP) for the specified period of entry
  2. Mobile device with the TraceTogether app with an activer user profile
  3. Valid visa (for visa-required visitors)
  4. Valid travel documents
  5. Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination
  6. Proof of negative Covid-19 test result taken within 48 hours before departure

Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents need only present 4-6 above. Travellers who do not fulfil the above may be denied boarding.

Arrival in Singapore Changi Airport
  1. Take the Covid-19 PCR test at the airport
  2. Immediately take private transportation, taxi, or private hire car from the airport to the declared place of accommodation for self-isolation
  3. After being notified of negative test results, travellers will be allowed to go about their activities in Singapore. Results may take up to 12 hours
