In view of the steep decline in passenger traffic and the likelihood that air travel demand will not return to pre-Covid-19 levels in the near term, terminal operations at Changi Airport will be consolidated. This includes the suspension of operations in Terminals 2 and 4.
Terminal 2
Operations at Terminal 2 (T2) are suspended for 18 months from 1 May 2020, with airlines relocated to the remaining terminals. This suspension of operations will allow for the current T2 Expansion works to be accelerated. Offices in T2, including those of CAG and CAAS, remain open during this period. For more info, please refer to the press release.
Terminal 4
From 16 May 2020, Terminal 4 (T4) operations will be temporarily suspended in view of the very small number of flights still operating in the terminal. T4-based airlines will operate out of Terminals 1 (T1) or 3 (T3) instead. For more info, please refer to the press release.
