Emirates Leisure Retail has introduced Asian Street Kitchen to Changi Airport’s Terminal 2. Asian Street Kitchen (ASK) is a street food collective housing a colourful mash-up of various Asian cuisines rolled into one dynamic location at Changi Airport. Distinct and downright delicious, these Asian flavours offer the weary traveller an authentic taste of the East. The visual language is inspired by Asian pop culture icons that have become global pop phenomenons, from vintage karate movies to the viral dance sensation. A series of posters, iconography and illustrations create tongue-in cheek messaging, layered over a contemporary design aesthetic. Passengers can order via QR code directly off the menu for dine-in or take out, or place an order at the counter of their choice of menu.

The outlet features an eclectic mix of street art, graffiti and pop art throughout with bold neon lights, bright posters and rustic table settings. Introducing delectable food offerings from South East Asia like Ramen & Dumplings, Naan and curries from the east, Bakso and Ayam Penyet from Indonesia, Vietnamese Pho, Malaysian keuhs, Pad Thai, Nasi Goreng, Cantonese Fried Rice together with Korean Bingsu and Asian deserts. Also making its way to the menu are locally Crafted beer from RedDot BrewHouse, showcasing its most famous ‘Green Beer’ created in Singapore!

Emirates Leisure Retail’s commitment to sustainability seamlessly aligns with Changi Airport’s green initiatives. Sustainable design aims to integrate the design intent with the natural environment and takes advantage of the synergies that exist within the airport base structure. Keeping with Changi’s drive to ensure sustainable growth for generations to come, Emirates Leisure Retail will emphasize efficient energy use, water, and materials – minimizing the environmental impact throughout their life cycle and the airport structure’s long-term durability and adaptability. The use of locally sourced reclaimed and FSC certified wood products are used throughout the space, as well as materials containing recycled content. Energy saving equipment and highly efficient LED lighting adds another level of sustainable design awareness, ensuring Changi Airports goals and expectations are met.
