Exploring the possibility of harmony between humans, sharks and other sea life, this depiction of a great white shark, rendered in stainless steel by Chinese artist Zou Liang, is made up of silhouettes of ocean creatures such as crabs, jellyfish, tuna and sea snails.

On its back are figures of two small children, illustrating how humans are not natural enemies with sharks, and adding to the harmony and tranquility of the work.

Bright lights have been placed in the hollow shark, casting complex shadows onto the surrounding foreground, evoking imagery of a vast shoal of fish.

This artwork was generously donated to Changi Airport Group by the late Mr George Wong, Executive Chairman of the Parkview Group.
